In free mode, this field offers target guidance for any one of heartrate, speed, pace, cadence, power or energy expenditure. If you find you want more, you can enable stats with a code from here
Please follow the instructions here to unlock this product.
1. Choose the statistic to track for each activity (heartrate, speed, pace, cadence, power or energy expenditure)
2. Set the target range (level and breadth)
3. View pace guidance whilst exercising as a red triangle to the left when below your zone and a green triangle to the right when above it
4. Each activity can have its own setting – so you can measure different targets and different statistics for different sports
5. Optional pause timer to display how long you have stopped for mid-session
Once stats are enabled, the following values are written to the .fit file and stored with your activity, viewable in Garmin Connect;
1. The target zone you defined
2. % of activity spent in your target zone
3. % of activity spent above your target zone
4. % of each lap spent in your target zone
5. % of each lap spent above your target zone
6. A graph of where you were and were not in the zone across the entire activity
Ranges are specified as a target number and a percentage range as for the other metrics. The range can be specified to have the target at the bottom, in the middle or at the top.
Power (when you have a power-meter) is set in watts.
Energy expenditure is set in kcal/min.
Value is expressed as a decimal with "." as the decimal separator. Valid units are;

Ranges are specified as a target speed / pace and a percentage range. The range can be specified to have the target at the bottom, in the middle or at the top where the slowest speed / pace is deemed the bottom.
For example, if you set a range of 20% with a target of 12kph or 5:00/km;
Enter 1,2,3,4 or 5 as the target to specify the zone as the target. The defined range will span the entire, selected zone.
